THE JOB:

As a Barista for Starbucks at Park MGM, you will set the tone for an exceptional guest experience by welcoming each guest with genuine warmth, energy, and personalized service in a fast-paced, high-volume café environment. By taking the time to understand guests’ preferences and needs, you will craft quality beverages and food items to Starbucks standards while creating meaningful, memorable interactions that leave a lasting impression. Your ability to connect with guests, work collaboratively with your team, and deliver efficient, friendly service will help create “WOW” moments that enhance every guest’s visit and extend far beyond their stay at Park MGM.

THE STARTING RATE: $15.2822 Hourly Tips

THE DAY-TO-DAY:

• Take and place order, and serve and garnish food and drinks efficiently and accurately in work area as applicable

• Collect money, while following all proper cash handling and comp procedures

• Maintain the cleanliness, sanitation, and the appearance of the front and back of house, clear tables and counters; sweep and maintain the cleanliness of the dining area without interfering with the comfort of guests

• Pack and complete order as per guests' preference with any necessary condiments

• Properly label and date products per-safety and sanitation procedures

• Perform opening and closing duties based upon shift assignment

• Unload warehouse orders and stock the orders to designated storage maintaining organization, stock and replenish products as needed in workstation, counters, tables, etc.

• Resolve guest complaints within scope of authority; otherwise, refer the matter to management, notify supervisor and/or Security of all unusual events, circumstances, missing items, or alleged theft

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

• High School Diploma or GED required

• Work varied shifts, to include weekends and holidays required

• Must be 18 years of age or older

• One (1) year of experience as a food handler in a similar, high-volume, fast paced restaurant preferred

• Previous experience as a Barista for Starbucks or a similar Coffeehouse environment preferred
